The world's largest wind turbine Rotor Core components developed in Dalian.

It is reported that the product is cast by Dalian Heavy Industry. It is the product of General Electric GE Company supporting the construction of Alstom's offshore EDF project by France Alps and also the largest wind turbine product put into commercial operation in the world at present.

The wind rotor core diameter of 6.9 meters, weighing 40 tons, is the casting of the most difficult to process large-scale thin-walled rotating products. Not only is there no requirement for structural defects, but the circle center offset can not exceed 15 microns over a 6.9 meter diameter range. This product has been in Italy, France and other factories for trial production, but because of casting defects finally failed. After more than four months of hard work, Dalian Heavy Industries successfully developed the product and became the sole supplier of the key component of GE's 6MW offshore wind power project by General Electric Company.
